Stories from Country 2022 showcases the work of Indigenous ranger teams in caring for Country and culture across Australia through the Indigenous Rangers and Indigenous Protected Areas Programs.
The Indigenous Ranger Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to combine traditional knowledge with conservation training to protect and manage their Country and culture. Ranger groups manage approximately 70 per cent of Indigenous Protected Areas (IPAs) and also work on Indigenous and privately owned lands, council managed lands, and state and territory parks and reserves.
