The Nature Design Guide provides actionable solutions, key Country and nature concepts, and practical steps to help project teams embed nature positive outcomes in single building and precinct projects. It aims to equips professionals designing new developments to do more than target the minimisation of harm, but instead to actively protect, regenerate, restore, and respect the cultural landscapes and nature. The guide includes a process to determine opportunities that benefit Country and nature and identifies nature-based design elements that help deliver those opportunities.
Two supporting documents are complementary to the Nature Design Guide:
- Country and Nature Design Tool (an Excel matrix for selecting and evaluating the positive nature impact of design elements)
- How to Navigate the Guide (a resource that helps readers use the Nature Design Guide).
